Terms of Service
Effective May 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SEER mobile application, the seerscriptures.comwebsite, and related services (together, the “Services”) provided by SEER, operated by Jordan Bales as a sole proprietor in Utah, USA (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security or abuse risk.
3. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
- Tiers — Explorer (free), Seeker (monthly or annual subscription), and Gatherer (monthly, annual, or lifetime).
- Auto-renewal — monthly and annual subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation — for subscriptions purchased on iOS, manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). For subscriptions purchased on the web, manage or cancel from your SEER account settings or by contacting us at the support address below. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; no partial refunds.
- Refunds — refunds for App Store purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s refund policy, and we are unable to refund App Store purchases directly. Refunds for web purchases are handled by us through our payment processor (Stripe) in accordance with our Support policy.
- Lifetime products — “lifetime” means the lifetime of the SEER application. We reserve the right to discontinue the Services with reasonable notice.
- Price changes — we may change prices for new subscriptions and renewals with at least 30 days’ notice.
4. License to use the Services
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the SEER app on devices you own and to access the Services for your personal, non-commercial study. All other rights are reserved.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post or transmit unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services, except where permitted by law.
- Scrape, mass-download, or systematically copy content from the Services.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass tier limits, rate limits, or other access controls.
- Use the Services to develop competing products or to train machine-learning models.
- Upload viruses, malware, or content that infringes another’s intellectual property.
We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice and may suspend or terminate offending accounts.
6. User content
You retain ownership of the bookmarks, notes, highlights, and community posts you create. By submitting content to the Services you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Services. You are responsible for the content you post and for any consequences of sharing it.
7. AI-generated content (ABEL)
ABEL is an AI research assistant powered by large-language-model technology. We work continuously to improve its accuracy, but you must understand and accept the following before relying on any ABEL response:
- Not authoritative.ABEL output is not scripture, not revelation, not prophecy, and not an official statement of any church or organization. It is a research aid that surfaces and synthesizes information from indexed sources. Treat it the way you would treat a study companion’s notes — useful, but always subject to verification.
- May be wrong.AI systems can produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, fabricated (“hallucinated”), or misattributed. Citations, verse references, quotations, dates, names, and doctrinal summaries may all contain errors. Always verify any claim against the underlying scripture or source material before acting on it, sharing it, or teaching from it.
- Not professional advice. ABEL does not provide and is not a substitute for theological, spiritual, pastoral, psychological, medical, legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Do not make significant life, health, financial, or covenantal decisions on the basis of an ABEL response. Consult qualified professionals and trusted spiritual authorities for matters within their domain.
- No warranty.ABEL output is provided “as is.” We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, doctrinal correctness, or the absence of error or bias.
- Use at your own risk; you assume all responsibility. You are solely responsible for how you interpret, share, rely on, or act on ABEL responses, and for any consequences that follow. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, injury, offense, spiritual harm, doctrinal error, financial loss, or other consequence arising directly or indirectly from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use ABEL output.
- Acceptable use. You may not use ABEL to generate content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others, and you may not present ABEL output as the authoritative voice of any person, prophet, church, or institution.
By using ABEL you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this section. The disclaimers and limitations of liability in this Section 7 apply in addition to, and do not limit, the disclaimers in Section 11 and the limitation of liability in Section 12.
8. Scripture and third-party content
The Services include scripture and reference texts that are either in the public domain or used under license from their respective rights-holders. Trademark and copyright remain with their owners. Scripture content is provided for personal study, not for republication.
9. Apple-specific terms
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the Services or their content. To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple’s standard end-user license agreement (the Apple Standard EULA), the stricter terms apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the SEER app. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, for abusive behavior, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. On termination, the licenses granted to you end and we may delete your content; some information may persist in backups for a limited time before being purged.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Use of the Services is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted in the app or emailed before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an update means you accept the revised Terms.
